Discover the Wildlife Wonders of Sepilok & Labuk Bay
Experience the best of Sandakan’s wildlife by visiting Sepilok and Labuk Bay in one convenient trip. This tour is designed to let you see Borneo’s most iconic animals up close and in their natural habitats.
Your day starts in Sepilok, where you will visit the Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre to see the famous ‘Man of the Jungle’, followed by the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre to watch the world’s smallest bears. In the afternoon, we take a short drive to the Labuk Bay Sanctuary right in time for the feeding session, giving you a clear, comfortable view of indigenous Proboscis monkeys and friendly Silverleaf monkeys roaming around the wooden platforms.
You can book this as a full Day Trip, or choose our 1-Night package if you’d like to relax overnight in Sepilok and join a guided night walk through the Rainforest Discovery Centre.
Option 1: SEPILOK & LABUK BAY (Day Trip)
8:000hrs – Meet on upon arrival at Sandakan Airport or pick up from respective hotels in Sandakan. Proceed to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre, watching one of the nature’s most endangered animal species, the ‘Orang Utan’ or ‘Man of the Jungle’, first Visit the outdoor nursery to observe the baby Orang Utan going through their daily practise at the jungle gym. Next more to platform see Orang Utan swing from branches to branches towards the feeding platform in the forest. After Sepilok, proceed to the nearby Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Center to see the world’s smallest bear in its natural environment.
12:00hrs – Lunch at restaurant in sepilok area
13:15hrs – About 45 minutes drive, we will be arriving Labuk Bay for 2:30PM feeding time. Upon arrival, take about 10-15 minutes of wooden plank walk through the forest to the viewing platform. For instance, Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary offers a perfect observation platform for you. From there, you can have a closer look at Borneo’s indigenous proboscis monkeys. Besides that, Silverleaf monkeys are free to roam around the viewing platform and some of them will come close to you! In short, you can observe Proboscis Monkeys both young and adult leaping from tree to tree in close distance. You can also be so close to them and watching them in their natural habitat. This will give you the most exhilarating and unforgettable experience.
**After that, your tour will end. Then, you will be dropped off at Sandakan Airport or your respective hotel.

Option 2: SEPILOK & LABUK BAY (1 Night)
Day 1:
8:000hrs – Meet on upon arrival at Sandakan Airport or pick up from respective hotels in Sandakan. 12:00hrs – Lunch and check-in to Resort/Lodge
15:15hrs – about 45 minutes drive, we will be arriving Labuk Bay for 4:30PM feeding time. Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary offers a perfect observation platform for you. From there, you can have a closer look at Borneo’s indigenous proboscis monkeys. Besides that, Silverleaf monkeys are free to roam around the viewing platform and some of them will come close to you! In short, you can observe Proboscis Monkeys both young and adult leaping from tree to tree in close distance. You can also be so close to them and watching them in their natural habitat. This will give you the most exhilarating and unforgettable experience.
17:00hrs – Back to resort/Lodge in Sepilok.
17:45hrs – visit Rainforest Discovery Centre for night walk, Observe the nature wonders found in the Rainforest Discovery Centre.
Day 2:
07:00hrs – Breakfast, Before 12PM Check out to Airport
